The Social Media Game: How to Use Social Media to Build Your Brand (and stay visible/relevant)

With more than 3.6 billion people using social media worldwide, there’s no denying that it’s a powerful tool for businesses of any size. While we all love to hate social media and its ever-changing backend system, there is no denying that it is here to stay.

Around here at BoBella we make sure to educate our clients that one of the best traffic drivers and places to give your audience an easy-to-access glimpse into your product and solutions is social media. It is essential to, not only building your brand but keeping you relevant and VISIBLE.

However, with so many different platforms out there, it can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to leveraging social media to build your brand and stay visible/relevant.

So, how do we play the social media game? How do we use social media to build our brand and stay visible and relevant?

Let’s unpack that with three action steps:

Choose the Right Platforms

The first step in creating an effective social media strategy is to decide which platforms are right for you. Each platform has its own unique audience and style, so it’s important to consider who you want to reach and how you want to reach them before jumping in headfirst.

For example, if your target demographic is young adults, then Instagram might be the best platform for you. However If you’re looking for something more professional or business-oriented, then LinkedIn might be a better choice.

Stay Consistent

Once you’ve chosen the best platforms for your business, it’s time to create content and get started!  The key here is consistency — not only should you post regularly but also make sure that all your posts have a consistent voice and tone that reflects your brand identity

This doesn’t mean that all your posts have to say exactly the same thing; instead, focus on maintaining a unified look and feel across all of your posts so that users will recognize them as coming from your business right away. The better you are at staying consistent with scheduling, branded elements, and brand voice, the better your brand awareness becomes!

Engage With Your Audience

Whatever you do, don’t post and ghost. Social media isn’t just about pushing out messages; it’s also about engaging with users who take an interest in what you have to say or offer.

Take some time each day or week (depending on how active your accounts are) to reply directly to comments or questions posted by users; this will show them that their feedback is valued and appreciated by your business

If you want to really level up your engagement strategy, regularly “like” other people’s posts and pages that are related to your business — not only does this help spread awareness about what you do, but it also helps create strong relationships with other people in the industry who could become valuable partners down the line.

In Conclusion

Social media can be a powerful tool for businesses of any size — but only if used correctly! By choosing the right platforms for your target audience, staying consistent with content creation, and actively engaging with users who come across your profile, you can easily leverage social media as part of an effective digital marketing strategy that will help promote your brand and keep it visible/relevant over time.

Put these tips into practice today and watch as they help take your business (and its online presence) further than ever before!
